Thousands of animals in Oklahoma are euthanized each year due to lack of shelter space from pet overpopulation. Since 1989, Second Chance Animal Sanctuary has been working to reduce the number of companion animals euthanized in our state by rescuing, fostering, spaying/neutering, and placing thousands of companion animals.
In the last 20 years, Second Chance has found homes for over 10,000 homeless animals. Every animal has a story and many of those stories are heart-breaking, but in every case there is a common theme: an animal that deserves a second chance at life and a permanent, loving home.
